MRS. ALABA AMBA V. EDDO MANAGER NEWS & CURRENT AFFAIRS

My background really is in journalism and my law degree is to help propagate the course of humanity. I have more than 30 years extensive production experience within the organization. I am a team player and like to have competent staff to work with. I once won the BEST PRODUCER AWARD not including other commendations I have received. I cannot lay count to the number of Grade A Productions I have produced for the Network belt. Other productions I have worked on as producer include:- Hot Seat, Dialogue, Focus, Investment World, Capital Market, The News at 7.00p.m, The News at 9.00p.m, The Year in Review.

I have been Manager Editorial/manager Research and Documentation before my transfer to my current station. As a Manager Editorial which include the Production of the 9.00p.m News, I also supervised the Research and Documentation Department at the Network level, this I did for more than 3 years, even though I had been producing the news for a longer period of time.

The job has been extremely tasking but fun, rewarding……no. My job placement includes supervision of the division and all programmes emanating thereof. The News at 7.00p.m (the major news bulleting of the day, runs for 25minutes which is made-up of Yoruba, Egun and English respectively). Broadscope at 1.00p.m (runs for 25mins). This segment used to be strictly magazine-like but has lately been commercialized. The segment now runs news for (5-10minutes) with other independently produced packaged reports taking-up the remaining time. Issues of the day, 7 Point Agenda, are in-house productions of the division, Egbeyewo – 25 minutes debate production in Yoruba, Nawe – 25minutes production in Egun – this comes in various formats e.g culture, entertainment, debate, etc. Investment Network – 25 minutes. Stock and investment programme for the network belt, managed by a consultant. My hobbies are reading, Animal watching, Dancing and Swimming. I am married to Dr. (Chief) R. O. Eddo, an Engineer/Businessman and the relationship has produced four beautiful children.
